Edible garden garlic produce sent to Pioneer Provisions!
Provisions received just over 10.5 pounds of organically grown garlic for distribution to students. The garlic was grown in the hoop house located in the Edible Garden operated by GCP and UWP students. The garlic was intended to be distributed directly to students from a table in the Markee Pioneer Student Center like in previous years, but because of COVID-19 restrictions, all produce from the garden that is distributed to the student body is now only available at Provisions. All UWP students are encouraged to visit Pioneer Provisions!

If you are interested in learning more about the Native Nations of Wisconsin, here is a great opportunity coming up this Monday in honor of Indigenous People's Day.
“When we talk about land, land is part of who we are. It’s a mixture of our blood, our past, our current, and our future. We carry our ancestors in us, and they’re around us. As you all do.”—Mary Lyons (Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe)
As October 12 is nears, we hope you will consider joining us for a conversation in recognition of Indigenous People's Day. To center ourselves in the legacy of our land, acknowledge the indigenous histories and cultures of this land, and work to act with mindfulness for the future generations yet to come.
