Reminder: Starting today, the Libby App will begin requiring readers to enter their pin.

Libby should prompt users to validate their library card and enter their pin. Your PIN is the same number you use to log into the online catalog. For most Plattsburgh Public Library patrons, this is going to be the last four digits of your phone number on file.

Libby App Readers:

Starting on Wednesday, October 14th, the Libby app will require users to use their PIN number to log in.
Your PIN will be the same that you use to log into your library account and unless you have changed your pin, Plattsburgh Public Library by default has your library PIN set to the last four digits of your phone number on file.

Have you ever noticed the privacy screens on the monitors in the library’s computer lab? These screens allow for clear front facing viewing but help shield your screen from the sides.

While no privacy screen will 100% prevent another user from seeing your display, it is an important step in protecting patron information.

Privacy is essential for all library users, but especially for those paying bills, drafting resumes, or even filing their taxes.
