✈️ Innovation is taking flight in Clinton County!

Today, the Clinton County IDA joined our County leadership, economic development partners, and state representatives to celebrate another exciting milestone for BETA TECHNOLOGIES at Plattsburgh International Airport: the opening of its new paint booth facility!

We were pleased to hear from BETA COO Blain Newton and Michelle Friedman of CV-TEC about the company’s continued growth, the importance of strong partnerships, and the incredible workforce opportunities being created right here in our community. Particularly exciting is BETA’s unique partnership with CVES, providing students with a direct pathway into the aviation industry, with more hiring opportunities ahead as the company expands.

Since 2019, the Clinton County & the IDA have been proud to help foster BETA’s growth, working alongside our County and regional partners to support investment, innovation, and job creation. Today’s celebration is another reminder of what’s possible when industry, education, and government work together. Congratulations to the entire BETA team! We’re excited to continue supporting what’s next! ⚡✈️

Leave it to CV-TEC BOCES to celebrate a state-of-the-art training center with a ribbon cutting like no other! Two welding students cut a sheet of metal in half, showcasing the very skills this new facility was built to support. New York’s Education Commissioner and our regional Regent joined the celebration.

We’re proud to have supported the bond financing through the Clinton County Capital Resource Corporation, alongside Clinton County’s sale of the land that helped make this project possible. This center will open doors for students and strengthen our community’s workforce.

Congratulations to the CVES team and students! We look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing all you accomplish in your new home.

Strong communities support strong economies! Clinton County Economic Development Director and CCIDA Executive Director Molly Ryan joined county legislators, County Administrator and board member Christine G. Peters and other county officials at the annual New York State Association-Counties fall conference in Syracuse. Valuable sessions on housing, infrastructure, budgets and more offered ideas to strengthen Clinton County, while our County Administrator contributed as a presenter on county budget priorities.

Networking with Barton & Loguidice and C & S companies sparked conversations about local opportunities. The team also explored ways Clinton County businesses could support Micron’s supply chain, helping extend the benefits of this major investment across New York State.

Clinton County was also recognized alongside fellow counties with the cashVest® 90+ Award for excellence in managing public funds. These connections, shared ideas and responsible financial practices help lay the groundwork for continued economic growth.
