We had a great afternoon with our colleagues from North Country Library System, Northern New York Library Network, and the Division of Library Development!

The visit included a tour of our office led by Juliette, followed by a tour of Plattsburgh Public Library led by Sarah Spanburgh. Our guests even got a peek at a few of the nonpublic areas at Plattsburgh Public. 👀 Shhh… don’t tell! 🤫

Thanks to NNYLN for providing lunch and to everyone who made the afternoon a great opportunity to exchange information, spark ideas, and strengthen connections across our library community!

What an amazing learning experience! We had the opportunity to attend a special program at SUNY Plattsburgh featuring educators and presenters from the Native North American Travelling College.

Alongside Clinton County Historical Association, Mountain Lake PBS, and more than 900 students from area schools, we learned about the culture and heritage of the Haudenosaunee people. We’re grateful to the presenters for sharing their knowledge and creating such a meaningful opportunity for students to learn, listen, and deepen their understanding and appreciation of Haudenosaunee history and living traditions.

What a wonderful way to bring learning to life and connect our communities through education!

Did you know that librarians have a tendency to visit libraries wherever they go? 📚

Anne from our office recently sent us these photos from her visit to Ādisōke in Ottawa. This impressive facility is a shared home for Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and Ottawa Public Library (OPL).

We love that the design of this incredible space was shaped by ideas and suggestions from the public, Elders and members of Indigenous communities, employees, and partners!
