The low at Kansas City on this Halloween morning was 61 degrees which is the normal high for this date. KC has also yet to have a freeze. On average, the first freeze occurs in KC on 10/27. The current forecast goes thru 11/8 and no freeze is forecast making it a top 20 latest first freeze on the 139-year record.

Isolated to scattered showers are expected today. While it doesn’t look like a washout, be prepared for passing/ intermittent showers. Temperatures will be mild for this time of year, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the region.

Isolated to scattered showers are expected today through this evening. Drier conditions are expected on Sunday. Strong to severe storms are possible Monday late afternoon into the overnight hours. Strong to damaging winds are the most likely hazard, though a tornado or two can’t be ruled out.

Scattared showers and isolated thunderstorms will spread northeast across the region starting the afternoon. While no severe weather is expected from any of these storms there is a chance that isolated storms will have lightning. Otherwise, expect above normal temperatrures with evening readings ranging from the 70s into the 60s with a modest 5 to 10 MPH east to southeast wind.

There will be the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through Thursday mainly across northern Missouri and northeast Kansas however precipitation chance will increase Friday into the weekend with the chance for a wet Halloween evening for some as scattered showers are forecast. Otherwise warm temperatures in the mid 70 to lower 80s are expected through Friday before "cooling" into the 60s and 70s this weekend.
