This handsome fellow stopped by the the shelter. Literally came to the shelter, to check it out. No collar, no chip. He is extremely smart, well mannered and housetrained!! Great on a leash! This sweet baby was reunited with her very emotional momma and I didn't update this post!!

She's been released from the vets office. She's now at the shelter being the absolute doll baby she is! She is waiting so patiently for her ppl to come get her! ❤️

This sweet girl was hit by a car on 7 hwy. She is walking around and still very sweet. Se does have a laceration on her forehead. If you know this girl, please call us! She is at the Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic getting checked out! 816.540.7815

Where are all the small dog people? Wren needs a home. Like yesterday! I am not educated in small dogs. She's fast, jumps a lot, barks at strangers, low growls people from a distance. Basically, all the small dog energy. Cute as a button! Super young. She's vaccinated. Wearing a flea/tick collar. Horrible listening skills. No manners. Runs and launches herself off of your body. Its a good time....for her. Did I mention she is cute? And small? Super cute? Does that help? She likes me, so thats a plus for me. She may not like you immediately. Give her a second. She doesn't love anyone immediately. She doesn't really have trust issues. She just wants to seem difficult. Its honestly quite ridiculous. She acts offended when I try to let her play with other puppies. She IS A PUPPY!!! She obviously is very superior to all the puppies, if you ask her. I know, I'm making her sound irresistible. She's a tiny tot in our big dog world. Shelters aren't for these kids. She wants to own your home AND be the HOA president. Help us! Save us from Wren! 816.540.7815

Wren looks very serious. She is not. She is serious about wanting to find her people. She's a little girl. She is going to stay pretty small, we think. When is about 4-5 months old and weighs around 20 #. She is fast as lightening. She is a typical small dog with big dog energy. She is very nervous on the inside while being very arrogant on the outside. No leash training. Cute as can be. Original owners claimed she is an aussie shar pei mix. We can't confirm or deny this claim. 🤷‍♀️ She's super cute. Isn't that enough? She's small enough to wear clothes and its officially fall. What else could you ask for??? 816.540.7815

Elsa has left the palace. She will be ruling her new palace in the kingdom of Odessa! 👑

Elsa. 🥰 This beautiful girl was left behind with Cheddar. She is approx 16 weeks old. She's not quite as skinny. She may or may not be a wild child! She is literally a baby, so she is capable of learning anything! Elsa is also looking for her forever family! Is she a German Shepherd Husky? A husky mix? I have no idea. Meet Cheddar. His story is pretty awful, yet unfortunately not that rare. I could tell you all of the specifics. It will cause short term outrage, I'll get 2,845 calls and then we'll do it all over again the next time. So instead, I'd rather focus on the task in front of us. Cheddar is extremely skinny. He will be 2 years old in January, he is neutered, microchipped and needs a foster to adopt situation. Thanks to a very cool Cass County Sheriff's Deputy, he survived an awful situation and his former owner will hopefully be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Cheddar is a very sweet boy. He's just a baby. I'm told he's a weimaraner mix. He should probably weigh around 70-80 #. I haven't weighed him. We're feeding lots of small meals a day. He's tolerating it well. No long walks for this kid, as he needs all the calories he can keep! If you'd like to meet Cheddar, let us know! Swing by or call! We're in 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm Mon-Fri!
