🐾✨Employee of the Month✨🐾
Amanda Merritt, Special Education Assistant

Amanda Merritt, one of our special education assistants, is always ready to jump in and help wherever she is needed. She works alongside students and teachers to make sure every child feels supported and has what they need to succeed. Her kindness, dedication, and positive attitude have made her a favorite among our students, staff, and families. We are so lucky to have Amanda aspart of our Panther family!

Thanks to Blossoms Florist, Gifts and Home Decor for the beautiful flowers!

Pleasant View Elementary is celebrating a wonderful first quarter of weekly social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons! We feel so fortunate to have two counselors on staff this year, allowing students to connect with their counselors and practice important skills consistently throughout the week.

So far, students have learned about the responsibilities of the counselor, active listening, personal space, understanding the size of a problem, bouncing back from challenges, following directions, “flipping a lid” (managing strong feelings), taking turns, locus of control, responsibility, and personal safety.
These lessons give students practical tools to understand their feelings, make thoughtful choices, build positive relationships, and feel safe asking for support. With regular practice, students can carry these skills into the classroom, friendships, and everyday life. We’re proud of their growth and grateful for the partnership of our families and community!
