🐘 The elephants have arrived in Downtown Livermore! ❤️
And there’s a beautiful story behind them!
Livermore is welcoming The Great Elephant Migration: A Family Gathering, featuring 30 life-size elephant sculptures in their first Bay Area appearance!
Each elephant is modeled after a real wild elephant living in southern India and handcrafted by Indigenous artisans using lantana, an invasive plant that threatens native forests and wildlife habitats.
The message behind this incredible traveling exhibit is simple but powerful: Humans and wildlife can coexist, and protecting our natural world matters. 🌿
