🔥 Prescribed Burn starting 10/19/2026 🔥

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe Fire and Fuels Program will conduct prescribed burning today and continue over the next few days.

Prescribed fire is carefully planned, and ignition only occurs when conditions meet the established prescription. Before a burn begins, our Fire & Fuels team evaluates factors including wind, temperature, relative humidity, fuel moisture, staffing, and available contingency resources.

⚠ If conditions are not right, they do not ignite. ⚠

Prescribed fire is an important land management tool, but it's never carried out without careful planning and consideration for the safety of the crew and the surrounding community.

We appreciate the community’s awareness and understanding as our crews conduct this important work.
