Join MTW District Health Department’s RIMC program to learn about breastfeeding, creating a safer sleep environment, and local community resources. Participants receive FREE baby essentials after completing a class! 💕

Our MTW Health Department staff had a fantastic time at the North Carolina Public Health Association Conference last week! From networking with public health professionals across the state to gaining new skills and bringing home fresh ideas, our team is excited to put what we learned into action in our communities. 💙

We’re also celebrating some BIG accomplishments! 🎉

• Samantha Combs brought home the Rankin Legacy Award, recognizing a member with outstanding, lifelong contributions to public health in North Carolina.

• Andrea Freeman was sworn in as the 2026–2027 NCPHA President, and Kirsten Beasley was sworn in as Member at Large. We’re so proud of their leadership and look forward to a great year of service!

• And one more exciting announcement, MTW was awarded an $8,000 Anne Wolfe Mini-Grant to help expand our Baby Store! We can’t wait to see how this support helps us grow this resource for families in our communities.

 We’re coming back from conference inspired, energized, and ready for another great year of serving Martin, Tyrrell, and Washington counties! 💙
