A Message from the Board of Trustees:

With much sadness and appreciation, the Poestenkill Library Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of Library Director, Donna Riley. Thanks to Donna's impressive leadership, the Library saw program attendance increase 241% and physical circulation increase more than that of any other Upper Hudson library between 2019-2023. Among her many accomplishments, she won Adult Program of the Year in 2024 for her Let's Dish series. Her creativity, generosity, and expertise have had a lasting impact on the entire Poestenkill Library community, and she will be sorely missed. Information for anyone interested in applying for the position of Director can be found on the Library's website. Donna’s anticipated last day in the Library is September 10th.

Our Fall market day is right around the corner! If you're looking for ways to help out- consider baking a pie. We have a great bake sale at market day, and the pies always do well. This year we have a generous donation of pie plates from Doors of Hope! Come grab a pie plate and return your baked pie on the Friday before market day, or that Saturday morning. We greatly appreciate your support!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🌱🌿🌷The library gardens look absolutely PRISTINE right now, but they are going to need some help to stay that way. Can you volunteer one hour to pull weeds? We need a few people to give a one hour commitment this summer beginning June 1st. Sign up sheet is at the library circulation desk. You can choose one session or as many as you'd like. Tag the green thumb in your neighborhood below 👍
