How do you think our Gator compares to a Bentley? 😬

As you can tell, our vehicles get put through A LOT in the course of being at the preserve. We treat them as best we can but sometimes you can help it when they get muddy or get zebra slobber on them!

We are SO CLOSE to reaching our $100,000 fundraising goal and if we do, we plan to hopefully get some newer vehicles! We just need YOUR help to get the last little bit!

Another sweltering day in the Point Arena savanna! 🥵

Just kidding! It was 68 degrees but to our animals that are used to temperate coastal temperatures, anything above 65 is cause for sheltering in the shade!!

We often get asked how our animals that are adapted to live in hot African environments fare in a cooler climate here on the coast, and the short answer is that they get used to it! All of our animals at the preserve were either born here or came from another facility in the United States and so they become spoiled with nice Coastal California weather! So during a warm week like the one we are having, our spoiled animals go in the shade! 🤣

In the spirit of Pooh Bear, her and her friends in the 110-Acre Preserve dressed up for her themed birthday party and had treats galore 😋

Our last baby of the season is here! 🧡 Roan antelope ears bear a striking resemblance to Grogu, so we thought that this audio to reveal her was a perfect match.

This year our roan babies are fruit themed and we already have Raisin 🟣, Craisin ♥️, Mango 🥭, Pumpkin 🎃, and Cherry 🍒! Comment your favorite fruit for a potential name for our last addition to our fruit basket!!

On this first annual Dolly Parton Day, we thought it would be the perfect time to announce our newest striped member of the herd, Dolly!!! Born just a few days after Dolly Parton passed, we thought it would be the perfect tribute to a wonderful person who supported animals throughout her life 💖

Zebra Dolly and her mom Patty are doing well, her big personality showed as soon as she was born! These days her “9 to 5” is eating, napping, and bugging her mom, truly an exhausting work day 😴

If anybody knew anything about Dolly Parton, you know that her giving spirit was central to her image and she gave to countless organizations. We are currently still in the midst of our biggest fundraiser we’ve ever had, and still matching donations!
