Ocean Fire Company No.1 extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow firefighters of Chief Brian Flanagan of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company in Manchester, NJ.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those mourning this tremendous loss.

On Saturday, members of Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 traveled to Somerset County Fire Academy with Brielle Fire Company for live burn training. Members reviewed engine and truck operations in the academies Phase 5 burn building.

Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 members wrapped up our first week of 2026 Fire Prevention. On Monday and Tuesday, members visited the Antrim School to give clasroom presentations and provide fire truck tours to the students.

On Thursday, we had a busy day visiting Point Beach Prep with students being able to see a firefighter with our turnout gear on and having a turn spraying the hose line! We also had Antrim Kindergarten class come visit the firehouse for a firehouse tour and learn some fire prevention tips!

Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 were requested yesterday into Point Pleasant for a working structure fire on S Manetta Drive. Rescue Engine 4211, Engine 4301, and Rescue 4203 responded and assisted Point Pleasant Fire Department Station 75 with extinguishment of the fire. Crews on scene assisted with making an interior attack of the fire and overhaul of the structure. Additional agencies on scene that assisted were Bay Head Fire Company No.1, Herbertsville Fire Company No. 1, Laurelton Fire Company #1 and Brielle Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal.

Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 members kept busy this weekend with community events in town. Saturday morning, Engine 4201 attended the Walk to end Alzheimer's. Members also attended the Ashley Lauren Foundation with Rescue Engine 4211 and Rescue 4303.

Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 members today responded to 3 calls today with one mutual aid call assisting the Point Pleasant Fire Department Station 75 at a structure fire. Rescue Engine 4211 responded and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the structure.

The passing nor'easter storm this weekend kept members of the Point Pleasant Beach Emergency Services busy with multiple storm related calls. Some of the calls we responded to were a vehicle fire, wires/poles down, pole fires and trees into buldings. We would also like to remind the public, if there is an emergency call please call 911 and do not drive around barricades/emergency vehicles on the roadway.
