An Important Update from Main Oak Manor

We would like to share an important update with our valued guests and followers. After careful consideration, we have made the decision to withdraw our listings from Airbnb effective November 20th.

Airbnb has introduced changes to its policies regarding what hosts can and cannot do. Unfortunately, these changes are not aligned with how we operate and, in our view, create risks for both our property and our guests while limiting our ability to provide the experience and level of service we believe in.

At Main Oak Manor, our priorities have always been to provide a calm, relaxing, upscale experience while placing the safety and well-being of our guests first. We believe this decision is necessary to remain true to those values.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and are grateful for the continued support of everyone who has stayed with us or followed our journey.

The good news is that Main Oak Manor isn’t going anywhere! ❤️ You can continue to find our listings and book your stay through:

🌐 Our website: www.mainoakmanor.com
🏡 Booking.com
☎️ Direct reservations: Contact us directly for assistance with booking.

Thank you for being part of the Main Oak Manor family. We look forward to continuing to welcome you to our historic Victorian home and providing the peaceful, memorable, and elevated experience you deserve.

With appreciation,
The Main Oak Manor Team 🌿

I had a couple supervisors today while I cleaned a room. They’re not very good supervisors as you can see in the last two pictures. Sleeping on the job!!!

Our guests tonight requested our romance package, with one special request. They needed a gluten free cake. We contacted Danielle Bates (https://www.facebook.com/share/1DgCvk2Cd5/?mibextid=wwXIfr) and she was able to help us out! The guests requested black and red colors for a Mothman theme, and we elevated their experience with candles, crystal stemware, and we have to use the ghost plates since it’s the Halloween in Paris room! We can’t wait for their reaction when they see it!!

We love surprising and spoiling our guests! This was a little surprise waiting for our guests when they came back from dinner. Strawberries, grapes, and blueberries, mixed nuts. Our guests loved their surprise! This is just one of the ways we spoil you!

We’ve posted about having a private art gallery for our guests and the tea room, and finally got this piece in! It is so beautiful and pictures do not do it justice. It’s on metal, he uses a combination of chemicals and fire (very dangerous) to create the colors on the metals, then uses tools to put the picture on it.

It’s almost got an iridescent/holographic quality to it. The way light hits it and the colors flow are mesmerizing. This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve gotten so far

I hope our guests come to love it as much as we do!!!

Previously I mentioned we will have a private art gallery for tea room guests and our short term rental guests. This is one of the paintings we just received today! This is an original artwork by Kre8 titled “Vivid River.”

I met Kre8 at the last art auction I attended which is where I bought this original. There were so many artworks I wanted! I could have spent a fortune!

I hope you enjoy this piece of art and come see it once we open the tea room!!!

We just got in some special plates to use for our guests in the evenings. I won’t give away our secrets, so you’ll have to stay to find out!

A friend of mine asked me to share this. Please respond to see if it’s something that they want to pursue. Link is in the comments. This is what it’s about:

“Community Interest Survey: Local Tea Room & Tea Experiences:

Who would you bring with you for tea? Tag them in the comments! How often would you realistically visit a local tea room? Post your answers in the comments!

Thank you for taking a moment to complete this short survey. We are exploring the possibility of opening a tea room offering traditional tea service, pastries, and private tea experiences in the local area. Your feedback will help us understand community interest and preferred pricing.

This survey takes less than 3 minutes, and responses are anonymous.”

Thank you!
