This special boy got to ride in style to school today! We hope you had a great day, Carter! His family purchased a firetruck ride to school for the "Celebrate North Polk Fundraiser." So glad we could help the cause! North Polk Community School District

Today and every day, we remember you, Quentin. Your energy and passion for the fire service was contagious. We remember you through memories, stories, the plaque that hangs in the firehouse, and the Q-Tip stickers on our apparatus and helmets. You are greatly missed, young man. Love from your fire family, and love to your family today.

Please help us congratulate Danica Ward on being sworn in last night during the City Council meeting.
Danica joined the department as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic in the beginning of October. Danicas journey in the fire service began at 14 years old as a cadet in Illinois and has since worked on developing her fire skills as well as recently acquiring her paramedic certification.
We are so excited to see what the future holds! Congratulations Danica!

We are incredibly grateful to Prairie Meadows for investing in the safety of our firefighters and the community we serve through the Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant.

PCFD was awarded $44,780, allowing us to purchase structural firefighting gear, including 5 sets of gear, 25 helmets, and 20 pairs of boots. This equipment will replace gear that has reached the end of its service life and is no longer suitable for continued use. Replacing expired gear is essential to protecting our firefighters and ensuring our equipment meets current NFPA standards and compliance requirements.

Thank you, Prairie Meadows, for helping us keep our firefighters safe and our community protected!

Mina was hired full-time last October and started the accelerated paramedic program through DMACC with our metro FD members in January. Congratulations, Mina! You earned it!
