Had a great evening on the trail Thursday in Kirksville at The Wooden Nickel!

We attended a meet-and-greet for Chris Stigall, who is running for Missouri's 6th Congressional District seat, representing much of North Missouri. It was great to hear from Chris again about the work he has been putting in across the district and his plans if elected to Congress.

We also heard from Adair County Republican Chairman Jason Soseman about the work being done by the Adair County Republican Committee, the important issues on the ballot, and why it is critical for conservatives to show up and vote this November. The future of our children and the Missouri Constitution are at stake.

It was also great to visit with so many friends and neighbors from across Adair County. Opportunities like these remind us how important grassroots involvement is in shaping the future of our communities, state, and nation.

I hope to see you on the trail soon! 🇺🇸

Saturday on the trail, we had a wonderful time attending the Sullivan County Republican Central Committee's Annual Banquet and Fundraiser!

There was an incredible crowd in attendance, and the evening was filled with great food, fellowship, and conversation. The committee provided the meat, while attendees brought a variety of side dishes. There was certainly no shortage of delicious food to enjoy!

The committee has been a tremendous supporter of my campaign throughout this election season, and I cannot thank them enough. I was honored to have the opportunity to speak about my campaign, share my objectives, and discuss the work I hope to accomplish if elected. I also had the chance to visit with attendees about the amendments appearing on the November ballot and the importance of protecting our rural values and way of life.

We heard from Brooke Wyant, candidate for Recorder of Deeds, who shared her campaign goals and vision for the office. We also heard from Presiding Commissioner Chris May and Chief Deputy Sheriff Cody Perkins, who spoke about the Sheriff's Amendment on the ballot.

In addition, State Representative Danny Busick provided an update on issues affecting communities across Missouri. I have been truly blessed to have Danny and Sandy Busick supporting me, offering guidance, and helping me learn along the way.

The evening concluded with a successful fundraising auction featuring generously donated items and two butcher hogs. Thanks to the support and generosity of those in attendance, significant funds were raised to continue supporting the party and its efforts.

Thank you to the Sullivan County Republican Central Committee and everyone who attended for making it such a special evening. I am grateful for your continued encouragement and support.

Hope to see you on the campaign trail soon! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good evening from the trail!

I've gotten a little behind on updates after a busy week, so I'm doing some catching up.

On Tuesday evening, we attended the Kirksville Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum for the upcoming November 3 election. It was another outstanding event with a great crowd in attendance. The candidates were asked a series of questions prepared by the committee, as well as questions submitted by those in attendance. It was a terrific opportunity for voters to hear directly from each candidate and get a better understanding of where we stand on the issues.

I was especially honored to participate knowing that I have been endorsed by the Missouri Chamber PAC in this race.

It was also great to spend time with Todd and Corey. Both have been kind, gracious candidates, and I have truly enjoyed getting to know them throughout this campaign. Politics don't always have to be divisive or negative. We can disagree, compete, and still treat one another with dignity and respect.

Thank you to everyone who attended the forum and took the time to be engaged in the future of our community.

I hope to see you on the trail soon!

Last week on the campaign trail, I had the distinct pleasure of attending the 5th Annual Legislative Chat hosted by the Adair County SB40 Board.

The event was well attended, and a wealth of valuable information was shared by many Adair County public entities, including the Adair County Library, Health Department, Kirksville Public Schools, and the Kirksville Fire Department, just to name a few.

What resonated with me most, however, were the heartfelt presentations from local families who shared how important organizations like SB40 and its many community partners are in ensuring that individuals with special needs receive the care, opportunities, and support they deserve.

As we look ahead, I know budgets may become increasingly tight. But we must remain committed to protecting and supporting those who need us most. There are many places where cuts can be made without reducing funding for the essential services that help our most vulnerable friends, neighbors, and family members.

I am proud to stand with these families and pledge my continued support for programs and services that make such a meaningful difference in our communities.

I hope to see you on the trail soon!

Another outstanding day on the trail!

Today, we were honored to attend events in both Sullivan County and Adair County.

Heather, her dad, and my nephew, who also serves as my chief campaign advisor, represented us at the Milan Homecoming Parade. Meanwhile, my mom and I traveled to Kirksville to participate in the Kirksville Homecoming Parade.

Both parades featured an incredible number of entries, and the crowds were absolutely amazing! The community support and enthusiasm on display were truly inspiring. And let's just say the amount of candy handed out today is probably enough to keep local dentists busy for the rest of the year!

We are grateful for the opportunity to support these wonderful communities and be part of their homecoming celebrations. We want to wish both schools the very best of luck in their homecoming games tonight!

Stay tuned, because we have lots of exciting events coming up, and we hope to see you out on the trail soon!

Today, the trail took us to Unionville to participate in the Putnam County R-1 High School Homecoming Parade!

The day started off rainy and miserable, but the weather cleared just in time for the parade. We were thrilled to see such a great turnout from both spectators and parade participants.

It was wonderful to see so many friends and supporters along the parade route, and we had a great time handing out plenty of candy!

We want to wish the Putnam County Midgets the very best of luck in tonight's Homecoming game. Bring home the win and make it a memorable Homecoming!

A special thank you to my mom, Cindy, for helping me with today's parade. I truly couldn't do this without the incredible team of family, friends, and supporters who are helping every step of the way.

We have a busy month ahead as we continue working toward Election Day on November 3rd. Keep your eyes open for us on the trail, and be sure to stop and say hello when you see us!

We hope to see you down the trail soon!

Last night on the trail, we had the privilege of attending and sponsoring a table at the Annual Purrfect Tales Banquet in support of the Adair County Humane Society. Sometimes our constituents have fur, bark, and purr! 😊🐾

The evening featured a wonderful meal, a silent auction, and a live auction. Heather even came home with a delicious peanut butter pie, a beautiful basket handcrafted by Shona Lene, and some Longhorn decorations.

The event was held at White Oaks Wedding Venue, which is always a pleasure to visit. The Minear Family does an outstanding job creating such a welcoming atmosphere.

A special thank you to our good friends, Rose and Justin Dunn, for inviting us to sponsor and attend this wonderful event. They have been great friends and supporters, and we truly appreciate their friendship.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who works tirelessly, not just during special events like this, but every single day to care for and protect our furry friends. We had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and it was inspiring to see such a strong community united behind a great cause.

We hope to see you on the trail soon!

I was pleased to join my fellow candidates from North Missouri and Representative Greg Sharpe.

I have placed my name on the ballot five times for election to my local school board in Milan, Missouri, and five times the voters entrusted me with a seat. This year, I put my name on the ballot to serve the citizens of our four-county district in the Missouri Legislature, and once again, the voters chose me as their candidate for the General Election. I do not take that trust lightly, and I never have.

If elected, I will always do what is best for the constituents of our area. We all know budgets will be tight in the years ahead, but it is the responsibility of the Legislature and the Governor to make sound budgeting decisions. If elected, I intend to approach that responsibility with common sense, transparency, and accountability.

Having spent 26 years in government as a civilian employee, I learned an important lesson: you cannot continually cut budgets while adding more requirements and responsibilities. The math simply does not work. We must be willing to keep an open mind and make adjustments where needed, in both directions, not just one.

I firmly believe that every student deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of where they live.

Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you on the campaign trail soon!

Today was an outstanding day on the campaign trail! Our amazing team covered three different events in three different counties, all happening at the same time.

When I made the decision to run, I pledged that no county and no community would be left behind. I also promised that our team would have a presence at every event we could possibly attend. After all, if you're not willing to show up from the beginning, why should anyone expect you to show up when it matters most?

My wife, Heather, and her dad, Daryl, loaded up early this morning and headed to the Winigan 4-H and Community Fair, where they participated in the parade. They were greeted by many wonderful constituents and had the opportunity to visit with several folks.

Cedric and Tausha Wyant traveled to Kirksville to attend the Red Barn Festival and represent our campaign. They met a lot of great people, visited with attendees, explored numerous vendor booths, and had a wonderful time.

Meanwhile, my mom, my Aunt Linda, and I traveled to Princeton for the Calamity Jane Days Festival and Parade. The parade drew an enormous crowd, and afterward we toured the vendor tents, grabbed lunch from the food trucks, and caught up with many friends, both old and new, that we've met throughout this campaign.

One of the highlights of my day was when a sweet young lady named Lucy Radewald found me after the parade. She wanted to thank me for supporting her rabbit project at the Mercer County Fair and asked to have her picture taken with me. It meant a lot to me that she and her mom, Katie, took the time to look me up after the parade. Moments like that are what make this journey so special.

Win or lose, this campaign has already been a success in many ways because of the incredible people I've met across our area and the communities I've had the privilege to learn about, visit, and be a part of.

Keep an eye out because we have a lot of events coming up over the next month and a half. We hope to see you somewhere on the campaign trail soon!

Good evening from the campaign trail!
We've had a very productive and informative couple of days at the Capitol in Jefferson City during the veto session.

On Tuesday morning, we attended a meeting at the American Water Building, where we learned about the many utilities that keep our communities running. Discussions covered water, electricity, and natural gas, as well as various methods of power generation, including nuclear, coal-fired, wind, and solar energy. It was an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Missouri's energy and utility sectors.

Later in the day, I had the pleasure of visiting with representatives from the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Missouri Cattlemen's Association, Missouri Soybean Association, Missouri Realtors, and a group dedicated to before-and-after-school programs that many of our area's outstanding schools participate in.

That evening, I attended a gathering hosted by Senate candidate Greg Sharpe with State Representative candidates from across his Senate district. Later, I joined State Representative Dean VanSchoiack and fellow Northwest Missouri House candidates for another great event. Both were valuable networking opportunities and provided excellent conversations about the future of our region and state.

On Wednesday, we attended the veto session at the Capitol. I was honored to be hosted by retiring State Representative Danny Busick and his wife, Sandy. I have truly been blessed by their friendship, guidance, and support throughout this journey, and I am grateful for everything they have done to help me along the way.

We have several exciting events coming up in the weeks ahead, and I look forward to meeting more of you across the district. Thank you for your continued support, and I hope to see you on the trail soon!
