On 5/26/26 at 0321 GCFD was dispatched for a fire alarm at the courthouse. Nothing was found, units cleared and returned.

On Saturday, May 23rd, numerous volunteers joined Garfield County Fire and EMS to place flags on the graves of our service members.

We found a phone and case in front of the station yesterday. It had a picture taped to the back of it.

If this is yours it is waiting for you at the fire station.

For the next few weeks, we are going to be out flowing hydrants and painting them. If you see us out there don’t be afraid to stop by and say hi.

We’re out doing our annual hose and ladder testing. Thanks to the port for letting us use their grounds.

In 2024 Garfield County Fire responded to 451 calls for service. In 2025 our responses jumped to 570 calls. That is a 26% increase in a single year. Since 2021 our call volume has increased by 49% from 382 calls to 570. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and staff we have handled these increases in stride and are here to serve you at a moments notice if needed.
