Congressman David Taylor spoke at the Meigs County GOP Fall Bean Dinner last night at Cooper Hollow Farm & Event Barn this evening. He was joined by State Representative Kevin Ritter and our newly appointed 4th District Court of Appeals Justice Jayme Hartley Fountain. All candidates agreed that if Appalachian Ohio voters get energized and show up on November 3rd, Republicans will win! Don’t be complacent- get to the polls and VOTE!

Over the last 30yrs an astounding $6Trillion has been invested globally into solar&wind. Results? In 2025 solar&wind accounted for a whopping 3.3% of total global ENERGY production, China&Vietnam control nearly 90% of global PV solar panel production, and several international giant mining companies (a long favorite of Progressives) have benefitted from the increased demand for the needed raw materials. Turns out solar panels and windmills aren't made from Walt Disney's Pixie Dust, who knew?

Many of the Amy Acton Branch Covidians who regularly comment with their usual hatred on this page, might be saddened to learn that the whole "we are in the midst of a global energy transition to wind&solar" line was just more Hopium KoolAid they swallowed and has little basis in reality. Why? B/c even from 2010-25 fossil fuels and nuclear accounted for well over 80% of the massive growth in global energy production. But hey, keep drinking if it makes you feel better about yourselves.

So here you go. After 6$Trillion here's your supposed "global energy transition" Truth be told, if accurate statistics existed for worldwide wood burning(including charcoal) by nearly 2Billion people, we suspect that solar PV probably still accounts for less energy production than that does. Perhaps a reader could research that question and also let us know how much money was invested in wood&charcoal globally over last 30 years...

Friday afternoon Former Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens from Lawrence County was honored at the Statehouse with the unveiling of his official portrait. Racine Mayor Scott Hill was on hand and thanked Jason for his role in helping to bring millions of dollars back to Meigs County including Racine’s Riverfront Park, the Rt 33 expansion project, among many others. Thank you Jason- we will never forget what you helped deliver!

It is with great sadness that we share that Sandy Iannarelli passed away on Tuesday. Sandy was heavily involved in the Meigs County Republican Party for many decades and was always someone you could count on. She served several terms as Mayor of Middleport and even won as a write in candidate. She also was a previous Chair of the Meigs County Republican Party. Sandy will be sadly missed. Please keep her family members in your prayers!

With the passing of longtime 4th District Court of Appeals Judge Pete Abele, Republican County Chairs and Secretaries met Saturday to place Jayme Hartley Fountain on the November Ballot. She deserves our support and our votes!

Jayme Hartley Fountain is a conservative Republican, lifelong Southern Ohioan, and career prosecutor with 20 years of experience standing up for victims, enforcing the law, and protecting our communities. Raised in Pickaway County by a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and an elementary school teacher, Jayme learned early the values of faith, family, hard work, and service.

As a prosecutor, Jayme has handled serious felony cases, advised local governments, and argued before the Fourth District Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Now she is ready to take that experience, toughness, and conservative approach to the bench.

Jayme lives in Pickaway County with her husband of nearly 24 years, Will, and their teenage daughter. She is running for the Fourth District Court of Appeals to uphold the Constitution, respect the rule of law, and bring strong conservative values to the court.

Tired of just seeing negative political ads yet? Here's a positive message from our State Representative Kevin Ritter focusing on his accomplishments, policies he supports, his record, and his endorsements. We would add yet another reason to support him- we appreciate the fact that Kevin has remained accessible and visible to his constituents throughout the 94th House District. Apparently we are not alone in our support, because he received nearly 70% of the vote districtwide and even carried his portion of Athens County in 2024. With a pending rematch this fall, we expect to see very similar election results next month.

10 years ago ALL of the mainstream press, pundits, Hollywood Know-It-Alls, and so called "news" organizations predicted a Democratic routing of Republicans. Sounds oddly familiar! So, for all of you collectors out there, here is your chance to own a genuine piece of history PRE-PRINTED BEFORE the 2016 Election votes were counted. Ooops! Why anyone still watches, reads, or follows, mainstream "news" expecting any semblance of truth is beyond our comprehension.

When you’re on your meds and get so drunk and out of control that your own daughter has to call 911, it might be an indication that you’ve got some serious problems to deal with. Democrats have done some rather impressive mental gymnastics to defend Amy Acton’s actions, including her inability to hold a job for more than a year or two and that she won’t show up sober for a legitimate debate about Ohio’s future on their behalf. At least now we know what happened to the former Soviet Union’s red flags- she’s got all of them!

Imagine all the Democratic Party’s fake outrage if a Republican Candidate for Governor got drunk and violent at home and their daughter called 911. They’d be protesting in the streets, clutching their pearls, and holding virtue signaling candle light vigils nightly.
