Where is the accountability for the cost to local taxpayers?
Senator Mae Flexer, co-chair of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, helped lead the expansion of early voting and no-excuse absentee voting. But what comes next—and how will the state ensure our towns have the funding and staffing to administer these changes?
Isn’t it time for a change in leadership—and to make Connecticut’s lawmakers accountable to the communities footing the bill?

Listen, I gotta talk about the governor's race and if you own a gun in Connecticut you better pay attention because Ned Lamont has spent years eroding your Second Amendment rights and he loves doing it, this is the same guy who wrote his own bill this year to ban the sale of G***ks, the most popular handgun in America, and when 1,900 gun owners wrote in against it and only 50 wrote in for it he signed it anyway, and then a federal judge blocked the whole thing and called it presumptively unconstitutional, think about that, the governor of our state signed a gun law so extreme a federal judge said it probably violates the Constitution, and here's the part that tells you everything, the bill was written so sloppy there wasn't even an exemption for police, so even the cops couldn't have bought new G***ks under Lamont's ban, and this is the same guy who last year signed a law making it easier to sue gun manufacturers, because if he can't ban your guns he'll just try to sue the companies that make them out of business, every single session it's more restrictions and never a repeal, now look at Ryan Fazio, he voted NO on all of it, the G***k ban, the gun maker lawsuits, all of it, the NRA gave him an A minus and even the Democrats admit it in their own attack ads, he called Connecticut's gun laws beyond the pale and he says go after the criminals instead of piling more laws on law abiding gun owners, that's the difference folks, one guy will veto gun control bills and the other one signs them and gets smacked down by a federal judge, I'm voting Ryan Fazio and if you own a gun you should too.

The irony of the season:
“No Kings” signs and “Keep Calm, Vote Democratic” signs can sit side by side. “Keep Calm and Carry On” was not dreamed up at an American town meeting—it came from the British government under King George VI, complete with a royal context and a monarchy behind it.
It is only a slogan, of course. Still, it is a funny choice of borrowed messaging for people declaring they have had enough kings.
No kings in principle; King George’s branding in practice.
