All fireworks are illegal in Pomona. Our Major Crimes Task Force made a large seizure while conducting enforcement last night. Over 1,000 pounds! Our disposal bin was overflowing. LA County Fire Prevention will be disposing of these fireworks today. Great work!

One more proud Chief brag for the week. Congratulations to Corporal Jacqueline Smith, who received the U.S. Attorney’s Office Agency Award yesterday. She earned this prestigious honor for her exceptional work on a complex human trafficking investigation with the FBI this work led to a federal life sentence for a pimp involved in trafficking multiple minors in Pomona.

Congratulations to Officer Yasmin Rodriguez, who has been honored by the Ontario Elks Lodge as the Officer of the Year. Officer Rodriguez was recognized for her dedication and service to the City of Pomona. She currently works patrol with her K9 partner Athena. Great job!
