Pride is a celebration of identity, resilience, and community. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of creating spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals feel seen, respected, and supported.
Everyone deserves access to survivor-centered services that affirm who they are.
π This Pride Month and every month, we remain committed to providing inclusive support for all survivors.

End of day check-in. π After a long weekend + a full day back, it's worth pausing for a sec. Ask yourself, what's still running on a loop in your head? Where are you holding tension in your body? What's one word for how you're actually feeling right now? And what do you need tonight , rest, connection, quiet, a snack? No wrong answers. Just you, checking in with yourself. Drop your word below π We'll start: relieved to wrap up this Tuesday. π

California survivors are facing a critical moment.
The May Revise allocates $25 million for victims' services β $75 million less than what is needed to sustain the programs communities depend on after violent crime: emergency housing, mental health counseling, domestic violence shelter, sexual assault and more.
We are joining the call on Governor Gavin Newsom to fund the full $100 million in the final state budget.
A balanced budget on the backs of victims of crime doesn't solve a budget crisis. It creates a human one.
Survivors of crime need $100 million in state funds to support the life-saving services they depend on to heal after violent crimes. While we appreciate Governor Gavin Newsom including $25 million toward these services, being short $75 million means devastating cuts to emergency housing, mental health counseling, and more.
Gavin Newsom, join the Senate, Assembly, and Legislative Women's Caucus, and include the full $100 million in the final budget to support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, and more.

April may be behind us, but the impact of Together in Teal: Step Up for Survivors will stay with us long after the last step was taken. π
We're so grateful for everyone who laced up, showed up, and walked alongside us in honor of survivors this Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Every stride was a reminder that this community shows up β and shows out.
Though the calendar has turned to May, the awareness, the healing, and the advocacy we carry forward never stops. Thank you for being part of this walk, this movement, and this mission. π

Our movement has always been rooted in strength, the strength of survivors, the dedication of advocates, and the power of communities coming together to create change. π«ΆπΌ
What has made this movement so strong is the willingness to speak out, to support one another, and to challenge the silence that once surrounded sexual violence. Itβs the people who have shown up, time and time again, to listen, to believe, and to advocate for safer, more supportive spaces.
Looking ahead, what could make us even stronger is continuing to center prevention, expand access to education and resources, and ensure that support is inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of all communities. Strength also comes from collaboration, working together across organizations, systems, and communities to build lasting change.
As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons of the past: the importance of community, the power of advocacy, and the impact of simply showing up with care and compassion. These are the foundations that continue to guide this work.
Our strength has always been in our collective voice, and together, we continue to grow stronger. β¨π«ΆπΌβ¨π«ΆπΌ

As we look toward the future, we are reminded that this work is never done alone. It is carried forward by the strength, dedication, and compassion of advocates, community members, partners, and leaders who continue to show up every day.
We are inspired by the advocates who create safe spaces for survivors, the outreach teams who bring prevention and education into the community, and the volunteers who give their time and energy to support this mission. We are inspired by the individuals who are willing to have difficult conversations, challenge harmful norms, and stand up for respect and accountability.
Most of all, we are inspired by the resilience and strength of survivors, who continue to move forward in their own journeys and remind us why this work matters.
To our community, thank you. Thank you for your commitment, your voices, and your willingness to be part of creating change.
As we continue this work, we carry that gratitude with us, knowing that together, we are building a future rooted in safety, healing, and hope. πβ¨πβ¨
