ANNOUNCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT.

To any resident or business owner in the Town of Algoma Corp limits. Notify your insurance company that we have received a new fire rating from the rating bureau. Effective September 1,2026 the fire rating classification inside the Corp limits of Town of Algoma has dropped from an 8 to a 6. This should be a significant savings on your insurance premiums. This came from a lot of hard work from a lot of people. These guys that VOLUNTEER their time to protect you and your property, to train, to serve, and be a part of community pride have worked hard to achieve this. When I first became fire chief we were a Class 10 rating. I am proud of these guys that have helped achieve this rating and their commitment to the community. This could not have happened without all of them.

If you want to also be a servant of the community come join and make a difference. We are open to applications every day. And if you see a fireman out and about be sure to tell them thank you. They do it out of love, definitely not for any money. But while speaking of money, please support your fire department. If there is a fundraiser or anything asking for support always help if you can. These guys don't get paid and there is a minimum amount of monetary support from anyone outside of donations directly to the fire department.

Thank you to every member and everyone who has helped achieve this goal.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Sincerely,
Chief.
