Way to go, Pontotoc City School District families! Our average daily attendance rate for August and September was 96%. This means that on average, 96% of our students were present each day and learning.

Thank you, families, for making attendance a priority and helping our Mighty Warriors succeed!

Our school district is working with other North Mississippi school districts and the CREATE Foundation to develop a Community-Based Improvement Scorecard. The purpose of this work is to provide families and communities with a broader picture of student success. The proposed scorecard includes measures of Academic Readiness, Career Readiness, and Life Readiness.

Before the scorecard is finalized, we want to hear from the people our schools serve. Please review the proposed measures below and answer five short questions. Your feedback will help us determine which measures are most important, whether any should be removed or combined, and whether anything important is missing.

There are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your perspective. https://edl.io/n2239894

PCSD Librarians Attended LAMP - Professional Learning for Mississippi School Librarians

PCSD librarians Ms. Cassie Harrison, Mrs. Kristy Dowdy, Mrs. Kourtney Mathews, Ms. Gina Bramlitt, and Mrs. Camille Rodgers attended the LAMP workshop and participated in a day of professional learning focused on strengthening library services and supporting student learning. Sessions included Mississippi Forestry Commission resources, primary sources, connecting ELA and Social Studies, project-based learning with Mississippi History Day, Magnolia Book Awards, and mastering the Mississippi Annual School Library Report. These sessions provided valuable ideas and resources to bring back to the PCSD libraries and continue creating engaging learning opportunities for our students.
