🚒 Concerned Citizens of Poplar Bluff,

We understand that many residents have questions and concerns about how taxpayer money is managed and spent. Those are fair concerns, and accountability matters!

That’s why we want everyone to understand an important part of the proposed half-cent Fire Department sales tax.

Missouri Revised Statutes 321.242, subsections 3 and 4, specifically require this tax revenue to be placed in a special trust fund and used solely for Fire Department operations.

The law states that these funds must be used for the Fire Department “and for no other purpose.”

Don’t just take our word for it. Read the law for yourself!

🔥 🚒 Fire Safety Week 2026!🚒 🔥

We didn't do the best job taking pictures this year during Fire Safety Week. We were busy making sure all our local schools and daycares were conducting their fire drills correctly!

We are happy to report that our schools and daycares passed with flying colors!👏

One of our favorite parts of Fire Safety Week is getting to spend time with the kids. It's hard to tell who gets more excited when the fire trucks show up--the little ones or us!

We love getting out into our community, teaching fire safety, and helping our youngest residents learn what to do in an emergency.

Thank you to our local schools, daycares, teachers, staff, and community members for another great Fire Safety Week!

We also want to give a big Thank You to Fellowship General Baptist Church for treating us to a delicious meal and great fellowship. We truly appreciate your kindness and support!

❤️🚑 How do we ever say THANK YOU enough? 🚑❤️

Some calls remind us just how blessed we are to be surrounded by such incredible first responders.

This morning was one of those mornings. In the middle of a difficult situation, we witnessed an extraordinary amount of teamwork, compassion, dedication, and selflessness.

From the bottom of our hearts, Butler County EMS would like to extend our sincerest THANK YOU to:

🚁 Survival Flight 2

🚁 Air Evac Lifeteam 24

🚔 All responding law enforcement agencies

🚒 Poplar Bluff Fire Department

❤️ And every single first responder who answered the call this morning.

When moments matter most, it takes more than one person, one ambulance, one helicopter, or one agency. It takes a team of people willing to drop everything, work together, and give their absolute best for someone else’s family.

To the families and everyone affected by this morning’s events, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying for healing, strength, comfort, and a speedy recovery for all those involved. ❤️🙏

There truly aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to everyone who stepped up this morning. Your hard work, and professionalism did not go unnoticed.

From our Butler County EMS family to yours, THANK YOU. We are honored to stand beside each and every one of you.

❤️🚑 Different uniforms. Different agencies. One mission. One family. 🚁🚒🚔
