DAF National Pistol Team wrapped up nationals at Camp Perry last week. We had Airmen from all around CONUS and OCONUS locations make the trip to Nationals.
It was an interesting and challenging week at nationals this year with many shooters having limited training due to TDY’s and wildfire smoke shutting down part of the National Matches.
Some noteworthy accomplishments:
Capt Alex Callage finished 12th over all in the President’s Hundred match! He also earned the General Spaatz Trophy as the high Air Force Team Shooter.
Msgt Eric Hart earned EIC revolver points earning his silver EIC Revolver Badge
New shooter SrA Colby Dixon traveled from Turkey to the matches for the first time and finished 3rd overall in SAFS earning his EIC Elementary Badge
Numerous other team members had personal bests in various matches, courses of fire and Air Pistol Nationals
It was a pleasure to once again compete as a team and individuals in Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) National matches, meet new shooters, coach SAFS, see old friends, and continue the tradition of the DAF competing at the national matches with other military teams and civilians alike!
