Businesses, organizations, groups of friends and individuals can all take part in supporting our youth exhibitors!

➡ Register to Buy: Buyers should arrive beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday to register before the auction.
➡ Bid: When an exhibitor enters the auction ring, registered buyers have the opportunity to bid and support that exhibitor and project.
➡ Add-On Support: Want to support an exhibitor without purchasing through the auction? Add-ons provide another way for supporters to make a financial contribution directly to a participating exhibitor.

We’re one week into our 6th annual Socks for Seniors sock drive, and we want to take a moment to say a BIG THANK YOU to the businesses and organizations helping us make Socktober a success! 🥰

💙 Community Drop-Off Locations

If you’re out and about and would like to donate NEW ADULT SOCKS, you can drop them off at:

📍 Calhoun County YMCA
📍 Walmart Port Lavaca
📍 Hydration Hut
📍 Nielsen Family Dental
📍 IBC Bank Port Lavaca
📍 First National Bank Seadrift Tx
📍 Clark Constructors
📍 Port Lavaca Chamber Of Commerce

A huge thank-you to these local businesses for opening their doors to our community and providing a place for everyone to drop off donations! 💙

🧦 Workplace Collections

We also have several local businesses collecting socks internally with their employees in support of Socktober. While these collections aren't open to the public, we are so grateful for the employees and teams who are participating and helping us warm the hearts and feet of local seniors! 💙

Thank you to ALL of our Socktober supporters! Whether you're dropping off a pair at one of our community locations, collecting with your coworkers, or making an online donation — every contribution helps!

And if you haven’t donated yet, there’s still plenty of time! We’ll be collecting throughout October, with socks being distributed to senior residents throughout Calhoun County in early to mid-December.

Prefer to donate online? You can do that too, and we’ll do the shopping for you! 🛒🧦

Support Calhoun 4-H's One Day 4-H Community Service Project!

One Day 4-H is a statewide day of service that gives 4-H members the opportunity to say "thank you" to their communities for their continued support through meaningful community service projects.

This year, Calhoun 4-H is collecting donation items for The Oasis Shelter of Calhoun County. From now through October 10, we invite you to help us make a difference by donating the items listed in the flyer.

As an added incentive, Texas 4-H awards a prize to the county that collects the most items during One Day 4-H, and we'd love to bring that honor home to Calhoun County!

Every donation helps support a wonderful local organization and the individuals they serve. Join us in giving back and showing the power of 4-H service!
