The St. Lucie TPO joined FDOT for a Roadway Safety Audit along US 1 in to evaluate roadway conditions, identify potential safety concerns, and explore opportunities to improve safety for everyone who travels the corridor. Roadway Safety Audits bring transportation professionals together to take a closer look at how our roads function and identify opportunities to make them safer for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.

What a great day at the Love Your Block - Bike Safety Day at Whispering Pines Park.

Last Saturday, TPO Staff along with the City of Port Saint Lucie, had the opportunity to connect with more that 100 community members to talk about bike safety. We were also able to properly fit and distribute 58 bicycle helmets to keep riders safe!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the event such a success. Remember, a properly fitted helmet is an important part of every safe bike ride!

Join the City of Port St. Lucie and the TPO, this Saturday, August 29th, at Whispering Pines Park for Love Your Block Community Bike Fest & Safety Day from 9am-11am. TPO Staff will be on site performing bike helmet fittings and free helmets to community members.

Bring the family, bring your bike, and get ready for a fun morning focused on bike safety, healthy activity, and community connection!
