Our second graders explored how the sun’s energy warms objects and discussed why some materials might feel hotter than others. Students predicted which item—a metal spoon, black plastic lid, glass cup, or piece of construction paper—would get the hottest after 15 minutes in the sun. They then observed and compared the objects and shared their discoveries.

Our Mustangs had a great week of volleyball, winning Monday against LPA 25-17, 25-15. Mia Bigam got her overhand serve in, and Addie Moriarty had several hits and kills. Fiorella Nieves served tough with two aces and passed well. 🏐
Wednesday night our A team took their first loss vs. Southport. After an 11-25 first set, we rallied back 25-27 and almost took it to three sets. Mackenzie Brown, Maria Xanthopoulos, and Tenley Smith had two aces and two kills each. 🥳

B team had a fabulous comeback win in 3: 18-25, 25-23, 15-13. Leilani Quarto and Khloe Scott led the team with 9 Aces and 2 Kills each. Athena Silwowsky and Alana Guthrie played strong in the middle and Allison Jones set well. 🎊

Thank you to Girlz on the Rize and NJHS for help in concessions. We appreciate all of our staff workers, PE Coaches for setup,
