What. A. Day. We are beyond grateful for everyone who took time out of their busy Sunday to join us for our Open House and Ribbon Cutting! This was a day 25 years in the making, and we are proud to have shared it with nearly 1,000 members of the community. It was a great opportunity to open our doors, talk about fire prevention, and showcase our new home alongside the Police Department. We also want to give a special thanks to the Air National Guard, National Fire Sprinkler Association, Milwaukee Fire Bells, and Ascension EMS Program for being part of the day. We can't wait to see everyone next year as we celebrate our 175th anniversary!

The Grand Opening of our new Public Safety Building is finally here! Join us tomorrow for the building dedication at 9:00 AM, followed by the Police and Fire Departments’ Annual Open House.

This year’s open house will feature some great special guests and displays, including a Black Hawk helicopter from the Air National Guard, a U.S. Coast Guard rescue boat, and apparatus from the Ozaukee County HazMat and Special Response Teams. Ascension’s pre-hospital team will be joining with a GIANT Operation game, and the Wisconsin Fire Sprinkler Association will conduct a live fire sprinkler demonstration. The Milwaukee Fire Bell will also be serving refreshments courtesy of C.D. Smith.

Parking will be available at Harbor Hills Recreation Center, Eernisse Funeral Home, and Aurora Advanced Clinic. A big thank-you to all three for allowing use of their lots.

Looking forward to sharing this exciting new chapter with the community!

This is Fire Prevention Week! Recognized nationally since 1925, it is the nation’s longest-running public health observance. Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing daily fire safety tips and visiting our elementary school students to talk about fire prevention and safety. We’ll wrap up the week on October 11th with our Fire Prevention Open House and the Grand Opening of the new Public Safety Building. We hope to see you there!
