The R4R Mitigation Grant Program, a new initiative that rewards small businesses for investing in disaster risk reduction.

Here's how it works: Complete a free Disaster Resilience course on Verizon's Small Business Digital Ready platform — either Know Your Hazards or Build Your Business Continuity & Mitigation Plan — and you'll be eligible to apply for a $5,000 grant to fund a mitigation project at your business. Projects can range from backup power systems and flood barriers to structural hardening and critical equipment protection.

The application window is from September 29 through November 15, 2026. But here's a bonus: applying for the Mitigation Grant automatically registers you for the Small Business R4R Grant Program. So, if a qualifying disaster hits your region, you'll already be in line for $5,000 in recovery support.

This is preparedness you can act on today. Visit https://ow.ly/oyXH50ZTmBK to start the process.
