A Little Hunny, a Lot of Heart!

Students from across the Burton School District brought the Hundred Acre Wood to life in Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS!

Led by our VAPA advisors and TCOE Directors, students came together to share their talents and perform in front of a live audience. Through music, friendship, and teamwork, our young performers created a memorable experience for families and our school community.

Congratulations to our cast, production team, VAPA advisors, and TCOE Directors for bringing this sweet adventure to the stage!

After two weeks of learning, designing, and creating, three of our students completed the Young Entrepreneur’s Lab at BES and presented their final projects to families and school staff.

Students experienced the work of an architect firsthand—designing their own homes, developing blueprints, calculating dimensions, planning each space, and bringing their ideas to life through 3D models. They then put on their Bareng Corporation shirts and professionally presented their designs, answered questions, and explained the thinking behind their work.

A special thank you to Bareng Corporation for providing our students with this hands-on opportunity to create, problem-solve, and turn their vision into a blueprint for the future!

From student to intern. From intern to difference maker.

Former SCHS student Brooke Berry is proof of what happens when we create opportunities for our students. While attending SCHS, Brooke began her journey with ELOP as an intern—gaining experience, building connections, and discovering new opportunities along the way.

Today, she’s back as an ELOP tutor, giving back to the same community that helped shape her journey and now making a difference in the lives of our students.

Through real-world design challenges, students learn how to transform ideas into floor plans and begin building a vision for the future.
