🚁 Introducing the Tule River Tribe Department of Public Safety Drone Program!

We’re excited to share a new perspective on serving our community. This video from Halloween Fun Night at the Tule Gym showcases our department drone’s nighttime aerial views and thermal imaging capabilities.

Our drone provides:
🔹 Aerial photos and video to help personnel assess an area.
🔹 Thermal imaging that detects heat signatures, helping locate people in darkness or challenging terrain.
🔹 Side-by-side thermal and camera views for a clearer understanding of conditions on the ground.

These capabilities can support searches for missing people, emergency response, and public safety planning while helping personnel assess areas that may be difficult to reach.

The department has obtained FAA authorization for public aircraft operations under Part 91—an important milestone in developing our drone program and conducting authorized public safety missions.

We look forward to using this technology to strengthen our ability to serve and protect the Tule River community.

🎃 Thank you to everyone who helped make Halloween Fun Night possible.

🎀 TULE RIVER TRIBAL POLICE DEPARTMENT SUPPORTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH🎀

The Tule River Tribal Police Department is proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout the entire month of October.

Throughout October, you will see TRTPD officers and staff wearing breast cancer awareness shirts and patches while carrying out their daily duties. This is our way of showing support for those in our community who have been affected by breast cancer, including survivors, those currently fighting, and the families who stand beside them.

As a law enforcement agency, our commitment goes beyond responding to calls and enforcing the law. We are part of this community, and we believe in standing alongside our community and supporting the causes that impact the people we serve.

Breast cancer awareness is an important opportunity to encourage education, early detection, and continued support for those affected by this disease. We also take this month to honor those who have lost their battle and recognize the strength of the survivors and families who continue to fight.

You may see a little more pink around the department this October. 🎀

We are proud to wear it.

From all of us at the Tule River Tribal Police Department, we stand with our community.

💗 Wear Pink. Show Support. Raise awareness. 💗

**PUBLIC SAFETY UPDATE**

We would like to clarify information regarding the earlier incident in the Million Dollar Bridge area.

This was not an active mass shooter incident. Law enforcement responded to an incident in which one individual was shot. The suspected shooter was no longer in the area when law enforcement responded.

Through the investigation, law enforcement was able to identify and locate the suspected shooter.

The suspect was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

We appreciate the community’s cooperation and assistance during the investigation. Thank you to everyone who stayed clear of the area and allowed first responders and law enforcement personnel to safely conduct their work.

The 400 block of North Reservation Road is still closed at this time.

Additional information will be released when appropriate.
