Airlines members built a custom cart to be used for dignified transfers of US Servicemembers and donated it for all airlines to use in Portland, Oregon last week. Senior leadership with the 142nd wing and Oregon Air National Guard attended a dedication ceremony honoring fallen servicemembers and their dignified return back home.

On static display outside the 35th Fighter Wing headquarters at Misawa Air Base in northern Japan rests McDonnell F-4C Phantom II serial number 64-0679. But 20 years earlier, she was in her prime, and flying combat in the skies of Southeast Asia (SEA).

Congratulations on your retirement, Chief Mudd! Chief Master Sergeant Deyseano Georgianna served for over 30 years, most recently as the 142nd Operations Group Chief after serving as the 142nd Maintenance Group Chief. A retirement Ceremony was held for Chief Deyseano this past week.

The 142nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron bonded over some physical training earlier this month. The training included a 2-mile run, burpees, push-ups, sprints, lunges and squats.

Congratulations to Chief Master Sgt. Ibzan "Omar" Ortiz who retired from the Oregon Air National Guard this month. Chief Ortiz most recently served as the senior enlisted leader for the 142nd Medical Group, Detachment 1, otherwise known as CERFP (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive Enhanced Force Package). Congratulations to the winning team, which was comprised of three weapons load crew members, Tech. Sgt. Alan Schneider, Staff Sgt. Kaleb Moyer, and Staff Sgt. Bailey Buck!
