Make-A-Wish Oregon Together, we create life-changing wish experiences for children battling critical illnesses. When you donate, you can help bring a child's imagination to life.

Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We are on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Since it was established in 1983, The Oregon Chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted more than 4,400 wishes to local children in our community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible. A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families, and entire communities. It's through the strength of our great community that Make-A-Wish can continue granting wishes. Cheers to a wish come true in London! 🇬🇧

Kathryn dreamed of visiting London’s famous landmarks and taking in the sights of the city. She checked off must-see tourist spots, visited the Paddington Bear Experience 🧸, and made sure to stop by one of London’s iconic red phone booths, a special sight she had always wanted to see.

After so much time focused on medical appointments and treatments, Kathryn’s wish trip offered a chance to simply enjoy the excitement of exploring a new place and creating lasting memories with her family. 💙✨

A wish come true on the island of Kefalonia, Greece! 🐢💙💫

Lilee and her family traveled to Greece for a wish trip filled with sea turtles, beautiful blue waters, and colorful seaside villages that looked like they came straight out of a fairytale.

From exploring the island’s charming towns to snorkeling and spotting turtles with her family, every day brought a new adventure and a chance to make memories together.

“Most people don’t know what Lilee feels like all the time,” said Lilee’s mom, “it was so nice to focus on her and making memories with her. She felt special, cared for, and appreciated. That was nice for our family to feel and experience.”

From adventures in the ocean to special moments gathered around the table each night, Lilee's wish is a memory her family will cherish forever. ✨

When it came time to choose her wish, nothing felt quite right to Wish Alum Anna Grace until one idea changed everything: a puppy. 🐶🦴

Meeting Nala was a moment she'll never forget. And when she faced a relapse just months later, Nala became a source of comfort during her hardest days. “Nala kept me present, made me laugh, and was a reminder to me that there are always little joys to be found around us, despite our circumstances,” said Anna Grace.

While reflecting on her wish journey, she shared “Make-A-Wish is such an important foundation. It gives kids something that treatment often takes away: a sense of choice and control. During a time that can be so full of procedures, appointments and fear, having the opportunity to choose a wish that brings us joy and excitement gives us something to look forward to and reminds us that we are more than a diagnosis.”

Today, Anna Grace is thriving in her second year of physical therapy school and recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary. 💙💫

For Corbett, the greatest challenge wasn't understanding others. It was helping others understand him.

Because Corbett is non-speaking, he struggled to communicate with friends and family and often felt misunderstood. When asked what he wished for most, his answer was simple: he wanted the people he loved to understand him.

To grant his wish, “Camp Corbett” was created to help family and friends learn how to communicate with him using assistive technology and his unique communication style.

"I felt loved because my friends and family learned to talk with me."

This World Mental Health Day, we're celebrating the power of connection, belonging and being truly seen and heard.
