Gazelle & Goat I relocated to Portland in July 2025 and set up my shop for Papermaking, Letterpress and Bookbinding in my new space.

I'm prepping to run some small workshops in 2026. Message me if you want to take classes, or ideas you'd like to see on the schedule.

We couldn't have asked for a better mix of weather (mist, wee but of rain, few peaks of sun). Glasgow and the highlands have been a gorgeous adventure so far.
Can wait to visit Edinburgh and the museums of Glasgow the next couple of days.

My first dahlia. The bunnies got most of the other ones. I don't blame them, they are probably delicious.

Studio visits are a great 🔥 (fire under my ass) to clean up my studio and show some books that have been hiding away for while.
We had a great time talking about papers, color and the million and one reasons we love to make books. Thanks PB for setting things in motion. ❤️

Even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits on this past Friday's papermaking session. We were using plant fibers from this past season, and enjoying the lovely palette of colors coming alive.
A couple of the sheets even has the lace pattern made by the rain droplets. 😍 💦
Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Fieldwork Retreat follow-up... The photos are coming in from students and their projects. What a great group. The richness of the natural specimens and the ways they all incorporated their interests was a lovely evolution to watch.

I'm nailing down dates for the next weeklong Fieldwork Retreat, and it's looking like March 2027 and May 2027 if you are interested in joining this course. The classes are small, so message me if you'd like to be put on the "first to know" list when they are published soon.

More photos to come once everyone has had a chance to finish their content and specimen inclusions.

This little book is a fun one to pack up and send off to new homes... ❤️

Fieldwork: Madames of Mycology
Edition of 50
Letterpress and laser cut
Swing panel accordion with handmade paper cover

This edition is part of a series of books entitled "Field Work," which looks deeper into the lives and discoveries of early women scientists. Meant to both educate and inspire the reader about the world of women in mycology (fungi) in a playful form, it is part of an ongoing series.

The five women featured in the narrative are: Catharina Helena Dörrien, Violetta White Delafield, Johanna Westerdijk, Elsie Maud Wakefield and Miriam C. Rice.
