We're excited to welcome two new team members to ATNI!
Katie McDonald joins us as Senior Policy Manager. Katie spent the last six years with Metro, the regional government serving greater Portland, where she helped establish Metro's Tribal Affairs Program and supported its work across parks and nature, housing, transportation and land use planning, and tribal-led conservation programs at the Oregon Zoo. She also brings ten years of federal service, including experience as a fish biologist working on Columbia Basin fisheries management. Katie grew up on the Flathead Reservation in northwest Montana and is Bitterroot Salish, Upper Pend d'Oreille, and Kootenai. She's called Portland home for the past fourteen years, where she lives with her son.
Haley Case-Scott joins our team as Natural Resources Policy Coordinator. Haley is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and a descendant of the Yurok Tribe, Klamath Tribes, and the Sokaogon Chippewa Community. She grew up in Chiloquin, OR, and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Native American Studies from the University of Oregon. Her background spans nonprofit, federal, and research roles throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally. Outside of work, she values the cultural and natural resources that sustain us and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
