The countdown is on! 4 weeks to go until we celebrate our 25th annual Taste of Portsmouth! Bring your appetite and bring your wallet for raffles chances and our legendary live auction. Local restaurants, wineries, and breweries will have some of their best menu items available for sampling. Join the staff and community in celebrating some of the best local food options around!

Did you know today was National Dessert Day? What better way for your teen to celebrate then coming into the Library and checking out a book? Wait ... this will make sense in a minute! Our Halloween Raffle for Teens is going on NOW! For every book they check out, teens will receive a raffle ticket to win our basket full of goodies, sweet treats included! The winner will be drawn on October 23rd.

Do you contribute to our fundraising efforts by submitting your Clements' Marketplace receipts? For every receipt submitted to the library, we receive vital funding that supports our mission and events. We have been fortunate beneficiaries of this program for many years, and we are thrilled to announce that Clements' is generously doubling our earnings through the Community Partners Program for the remainder of the year. Please note that eligible receipts must be dated between October 1st and December 31st. You can deposit your paper receipts in the designated donation box at the library or include them with your returned books in the book drop.

This one is for the teens! Students in grades 6-12 are invited to come by the library and check out any book in the Teen Area. For each book they check out (some with special bookmarks for fun!) they will receive a raffle ticket for our AWESOME Halloween themed prize basket. Filled with candy and fun treats, it's worth every check out! Raffle tickets can be submitted through October 22nd, and the winner will be pulled on October 23rd. Bring your teen in today to check out some books!

Mark your calendars for November 13th, as we proudly present our 25th Annual Taste of Portsmouth! To commemorate this milestone, tickets are available for the special price of $25 per person. Please note that tickets will not be sold at the door and attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Cash or checks are accepted at the library. Secure your tickets today, as quantities are limited!
