Cross Roads House is thrilled to announce that we've been honored with the "Top Gun Award" from the New Hampshire Bureau of Homeless Services, recognizing our shelter as the best-run for single adults in the state!

This is no small feat, and it's one we could never have achieved alone. It belongs to our dedicated staff, our community partners, our generous supporters, and above all, our residents, who are at the heart of what makes Cross Roads House so special.

Every day, we strive to create a space where people can heal, grow, and find the empowerment they need to secure and maintain housing. This recognition reflects the hard work, care, and collaboration that go into making that possible.

We are deeply grateful to be recognized, and we're committed to continuing this level of excellence for every person who walks through our doors. Thank you for being a part of our story.

Cross Roads House is proud to be one of the recipients of AARP’s 2026 Community Challenge grant.

In recent years, we’ve seen a growing number of unhoused residents age 55 and older come through our doors. Many are managing complex medical and physical challenges that can make shelter life especially hard. Something as simple as taking a shower or getting a good night’s rest shouldn’t feel out of reach.

Thanks to AARP, we’ve been able to purchase:
- Shower chairs
- Additional grab bars in our bathrooms
- Walking aids
- Recliners for guests with circulation issues
- Bed rails
- Laptops to be able to offer digital literacy classes

These may seem like small changes, but for our older residents, they mean more safety, more comfort, and more dignity every single day.

Thank you to the UNH Registrar's office who helped us put together some of these things!

Cross Roads House relies on the generosity of our community, and we are so grateful to AARP for investing in the people we serve.

The Cross Roads House community would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made our sold-out benefit concert a success! The evening was full of incredible music, good energy, and so much love for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Every dollar raised helps provide emergency shelter and a path forward for individuals and families across the seacoast. We couldn't do this work without this community. Thank you!

We New Hampshire residents love our winter sweaters, but they sure take up a lot of space! That's why we're upgrading the totes our residents use to store their belongings. These new totes are larger and feature wheels and pull handles, making them easier to access and move when stored under beds.
