Groundwater conditions have entered the City's Drought Watch range. While water service remains reliable and no mandatory water restrictions are in place, residents are encouraged to conserve water voluntarily.

Small actions make a difference! Fix leaks, limit unnecessary outdoor watering, and use water efficiently to help protect Portsmouth's water supply.

🩸 A Little Training. A Lot of Lifesaving Potential! ❤️

When an emergency happens, knowing what to do in those first critical moments can make all the difference!

Portsmouth Emergency Management is proud to partner with the Portsmouth Health Department to bring STOP THE BLEED® training to City of Portsmouth employees!

Building on the initiative we launched earlier this year, we’re continuing to expand this lifesaving training with our colleagues at City of Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services and Portsmouth Department of Social Services.

Through hands-on training, employees learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action until professional help arrives.

Our goal is simple: Build a workforce that’s prepared to help not just on the job, but at home and throughout our community.

And we’re just getting started! We’ll be bringing STOP THE BLEED training to additional city departments soon!

A special thank-you to our partners at the Portsmouth Health Department for helping us build a safer, stronger, and more prepared Portsmouth one employee at a time!
