📢 Halloween Festival Update

With the Pirate Football game moving to Saturday evening, we’ve made a few adjustments to tomorrow’s Halloween Festival so our community can enjoy the best of both events!

Updated Festival Schedule

📅 Saturday, October 24

🎃 Halloween Festival: 2:00–5:00 p.m.

👑 Fall Court Announcement: 4:00 p.m.

🕸️ Spooky Parade: Immediately following Fall Court

Our goal is to give everyone plenty of time to enjoy the festivities without feeling rushed, while also allowing our students, families, and community members the opportunity to attend both the Halloween Festival and the Pirate Football game!

We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of Halloween fun before heading to Nixon to cheer on our Pirates at 7:00 p.m.! 🏈

One community. Two great events. All Pirate Pride!

📢 Pirate Football Update

Due to poor field conditions, tonight’s Pirate Football game has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24, at 7:00 PM in Nixon.

Following an assessment, administrators determined that the field conditions were unsuitable for safe play.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety of our student-athletes.

🎓 Exploring Opportunities for the Future! 🎓

Our Poth High School juniors and seniors attended the TACRAO College and Career Fair in Floresville, where they had the opportunity to connect with college recruiters and potential employers, explore different programs, and learn more about the many paths available after graduation!

It was a great opportunity for our Pirates to ask questions, discover new possibilities, and take another step toward planning their futures! 💙🏴‍☠️

Thank you Floresville High School for hosting this opportunity.

🎭🎶 A Night at the Theater for Our 8th Grade Pirates! 🎶🎭

Our Poth Junior High 8th graders enjoyed a special night at the Majestic Theatre, attending a Broadway performance of The Sound of Music!

Not only did our students have a wonderful time, but they also represented Poth ISD exceptionally well! Ushers and fellow theatergoers went out of their way to compliment their outstanding behavior. 💙

And it sounds like the show was a hit! The music followed them right back to Poth, with students singing their favorite songs in the hallways and classrooms the next day! 🎵

A huge THANK YOU to the Poth Education Foundation for making this memorable experience possible! Opportunities like these create lasting memories and open doors to new experiences for our students.

🏴‍☠️ Pirate pride on and off the stage!

🏴‍☠️ Making history, Pirate style!

Congratulations to Kendall McMullan, Janszen Pfeifer, and Peyton Schuenemann on being selected to serve on the Area VII FFA Community Service Committee, and to Kensi Willis on being selected to the Area VII FFA Public Relations Committee!

For the first time in Poth FFA history, FOUR members have earned positions on Area VII committees! This incredible accomplishment speaks volumes about the hard work, leadership, and dedication of our FFA members and the continued growth of our chapter.

Poth FFA is reaching new heights, and it's clear this Pirate ship is sailing in the right direction! 🚢💙💛

Congratulations to these outstanding students and the entire Poth FFA chapter!

The Elementary GT students had an opportunity to explore pirates and pirate life. Throughout the unit, students researched the lives of pirates from long ago and discovered what makes their stories, adventures, and way of life so fascinating.
