Here’s my full day on the campaign trail Saturday. Including my favorite volunteer opportunity, vaccine clinic to help stop the spread of Parvo in our furry friends.

I had a great time chatting with Citizens for John Norwood last night about how the flat rate income tax in Iowa is causing a huge deficit, only harming already strapped county budgets. Thank you for spending so much time educating voters on the role of State Treasurer.

✨🎀 Y’ALL, IT’S DOLLY PARTON DAY ON FRIDAY! 🎀✨

And you KNOW our little library is celebrating the only way we know how… WITH GLITTER, RHINESTONES, MUSIC, BOOKS, AND LOTS OF FUN! 💖✨🎶📚

🎨 Join us for a FREE PAINT PARTY at the library! We’ll be turning up the Dolly music, breaking out ALL the glitter and rhinestones we can find, and celebrating one of the biggest believers in books and imagination! 🌈✨

📚 We’ll also have our Dolly books on display for kids to explore, read, and enjoy!

💥 BUT HERE’S OUR DOLLY DAY CHALLENGE:
Do you have a library card?

If you don’t… TODAY IS THE DAY TO GET ONE! 🎉

A library card is FREE and it opens the door to SO much more than books! 📖✨ You can unlock physical books, e-books, online resources, databases, learning opportunities, programs, and SO much more.

We may not participate in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, but we DO believe in the power of imagination—and we’re pretty sure our small-town library is one of the best places around to let yours run wild! 🦋📚🌟

So here’s your challenge:

🎀 Get your library card.
📚 Check out a book.
✨ Come to the paint party.
💖 Let your imagination shine!

Because, as Dolly reminds us, there’s no such thing as having too much imagination—or too much glitter! 😉

🎉 TAG A FRIEND who needs a library card and challenge them to join you!

Thank you so much to the Rural Pottawattamie County Democrats for hosting a wonderful meet and greet for myself and Benjamin Schauer for Iowa last night!

The pies were incredible and the company was even better. It was great to meet some new folks and talk about what matters to them.

We talked about our memories of Jim Harmon who always showed up to help.

It’s a privilege to get to know you all and hear from you. I treasure every moment of it.

If you like what I stand for-

Transparency
Protecting property rights
Standing up for our county employees
Smart usage of tax dollars
Fresh, bold ideas for how to get things done

Then we need your support. We're about to push out our GOTV and literature, signs, ads.....none of them are free. Even a few $5 donations add up. If you are able, please chip In bit to get me to the finish line. We only have 42 days left to make this happen.

I'm knocking doors, showing up at events, holding meet and greets, and yes, meeting with all of our county department heads (more on that to come). Getting my name and my message unfortunately takes donations, and I appreciate every dollar I get to do this work and get across the finish line on November 3rd.

Show your support with a contribution.
