Thursday Night after returning from assisting Limerick on a garage fire, our crew took advantage of the nice weather and toured the new extension of the Schuylkill River Trail that was recently completed thru Lower Pottsgrove connecting the 422 River Bridge to Industrial Highway. Crews walked the entire trail end to end maping out various landmarks, access points and identifying any potential hazard areas that may result in our members responding to the trail.

**Mutual Aid Working Fire ** Last evening, Quint 58 was dispatched to assist Limerick Fire Department on a garage fire in the area of Swamp Pike and Neiffer Road. DC51 arrived to find a 3 bay detached garage well involved. Crews from Sanatoga assisted with fire suppression and overhaul while Quint 58 supplied their tank water to the scene. Crews operated on scene for approximately 1 hour before being released by Command.

Despite the rain today, our crew along with Ringing Hill Fire Company and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue Co. Atteneded a live fire training session at the Berks County Fire Training Facilty. Crews rotated thru multiple evolutions that coupled together pulling and packing hoselines, hoseline advancement, fire attack, search and rescue, radio communications and incident command.

Tonight Township Companies were dispatched to a vehicle fire in front of the former Lower Pottsgrove Township Building. Crews arrived to find a well involved engine compartment fire and Squad 58 placed one handline in service to quickly extinguish the fire.

September 11, 2001 - On this day the world we knew changed forever, Please take a moment today to remember and reflect upon this fateful day in history and remember all those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001 and all those who continue to suffer and have succumbed to 9/11 related cancer and illness.

23 police officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD)

8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics from private emergency medical service

3 New York State Court Officers

1 patrolman from the New York Fire Patrol

2,753 Civilians, Office Workers and Building Occupants

25 years later... We still mourn the losses of thousands of others who have succumbed to 9/11 related cancer and illness
