Join Hemlock Hannah at the Schuylkill Haven Library to learn about Hibernation and Wildlife's Winter Habits. Find out which animals truly hibernate, how they hibernate, and how non-hibernating creatures survive winter in their own way. Enjoy a hands-on presentation with pelts, models, and puppets that is fun for the whole family.

Thank you for all who attended, volunteered, and tabled at our annual Lakefront Fest at Sweet Arrow Lake this last Sunday. We appreciate those who weathered the weather with us to celebrate local nature!

Congratulations to Hannah and Kimber for winning our coloring contest. Flapjack the Owl from Red Creek Wildlife made an excellent guest judge this year.

**Our original date got rained out, but we have rescheduled to this upcoming Sunday, October 18th!**

Join us for smores on Sunday October 18th at 6:00pm at Frog Hollow for a joint event with the Schuylkill County Conservancy and Schuylkill Conservation District. Sue Reier and Hemlock Hannah will bring the fire and smores supplies! All you need to bring is a comfy camp chair and anything else to make yourself comfortable, like warm clothing, long pants, and bug spray. You may also bring your own nonalcoholic refreshments.

Because we are purchasing smore supplies, we do ask you to RSVP to this event to Hemlock Hannah at 272-208-0406 or [email protected]. Family and pet friendly. Weather dependent.
