We look forward to seeing all the Youth Cadets, their families, and guests of honor at our awards ceremony on June 16, 2026. Special thanks to our community sponsors who help make this celebration possible every year at no cost to the program 🙏🙌

Sharing for our friends at the City of Beacon Police Department. You need not be a City resident to attend. Great way to test the waters for longer programs like ours.

As mentors, we are incredibly grateful to recognize two of our Youth Cadets for their outstanding commitment to service and community. Recently, they proudly completed more than eight miles of running in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics New York.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is celebrating 40 years of dedicated fundraising and advocacy for Special Olympics athletes. Since its inception, this remarkable movement has raised more than $1 billion worldwide, helping to create opportunities, inclusion, and support for countless individuals and families.
One of the most important lessons we strive to teach in youth leadership is the value of community, standing beside others, lifting up those who need support, and using our abilities to make a positive difference. These young leaders exemplified those principles through their willingness to serve a cause greater than themselves.
We extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to these cadets for their dedication, compassion, and leadership.
We are proud to see them running alongside members of Dutchess County law enforcement, demonstrating that strong communities are built when people come together in service of others.
As always, great job cadets!🙏👍🙌

As we look to close out another incredible program year, we want to recognize the outstanding effort and determination our cadets demonstrated during last week’s physical fitness final.
While our mission is to introduce these young men and women to the standards and expectations required in the law enforcement profession, our greatest reward is witnessing their personal growth, resilience, and confidence develop throughout the year.
This group has built a strong bond that truly reflects teamwork, accountability, and encouragement. Watching them push one another through difficult challenges and step beyond their comfort zones has been nothing short of inspiring. Their commitment, perseverance, and willingness to give their best effort every step of the way has made us incredibly proud.
Seeing these cadets strive for personal excellence while motivating each other to succeed reminds us exactly why this program matters. The future is bright with leaders like these stepping forward.
With only one meeting remaining before our graduation ceremony on June 16th, we encourage everyone to finish strong and continue giving it their all.
Outstanding work, cadets! We couldn’t be prouder! 👍

We would like to recognize all of our former cadets, turned officers, as well as our Post Advisors, for their dedicated service to their local communities. May you all be safe 🙏🙏
This National Police Week, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office honors the men and women in law enforcement who serve our communities with courage, integrity, and dedication each day.
Behind the badge are individuals who answer the call at all hours, face challenges head-on, and remain committed to keeping others safe.
We also pause to remember the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice and legacy will never be forgotten.
Thank you to all law enforcement officers for your continued service and commitment. 💙

A life and hero taken too soon 🙏.
Deputy Cuddeback’s memory lives on through a scholarship founded by his family to honor Kris’s service to law enforcement. Last year, this scholarship was awarded to one of our very own youth cadets. It was an emotional presentation by his parents and we are honored to be affiliated with this legacy.
We hope the Cuddeback family continues to find healing and thank them for their continued support of Post 108.
Today, we pause to remember and honor Deputy Sheriff Kristopher Cuddeback on the 11th anniversary of his passing.
Deputy Cuddeback tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident on May 5, 2015. He will always be remembered for his dedication to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, his service to our community, and the friendships he built along the way.
Today is especially meaningful to our Sheriff’s Office family, as Kris is the son of a retired Detective from our agency. The Cuddeback family’s commitment to service runs deep, and we continue to stand with them, today and always.
Kris will always be remembered as a valued member of our law enforcement family, as well as a son, brother, and friend. His memory continues to live in the hearts of his fellow deputies and the community he served
Please join us in remembering Deputy Kris Cuddeback and keeping the Cuddeback family, his friends, and his fellow deputies in your thoughts.
May 5, 2015 💙

We would like to extend congratulations to Youth Cadet Read on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in his local Troop here in Dutchess County.
The Eagle Scout rank is the highest achievement in Scouting America, earned by fewer than 4% of youth members. To achieve it, Scouts must earn at least 21 merit badges, demonstrate leadership, and complete a comprehensive service project before turning 18.
Since 1912, over 2 million scouts have earned the award. Cadet Read is the son of Post Advisor Read and brother of former Cadet Lt. Read, who now serves in the United States Coast Guard.
Congratulations Cade Read on your tremendous accomplishment. We look forward to seeing what you accomplish and the path you create, as you continue your journey towards achieving your goals and dreams…
