On Friday, April 17, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department joined the Arlington Fire District, New York State Senator Rob Rolison, and emergency services personnel from across Dutchess County to introduce the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse’s annual Pinwheels for Prevention display, located on Burnett Boulevard.

The display recognizes Child Abuse Prevention Month and serves as a powerful symbol of the safe, happy, and healthy childhood every child deserves. During the event, participants placed blue pinwheels to raise awareness and show their commitment to protecting children in our community.

This annual tradition underscores the importance of speaking up, supporting families, and working together to prevent child abuse.

The members of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department are proud to support the CPCA in its mission to protect children and strengthen families.
