There's something to say about a career that is coming to and end, but the visitors keep coming to wish you luck in the future. Battalion Chief Antalek has ran through the ranks and is officially ending his career with Arlington as of 07:00 tomorrow morning, but his legacy will stay with Group 2 for a long time. We will miss you Chief; good luck with everything in the future!

The officers and members of Group 2, would like to wish all of our friends and family and the citizens of the Arlington Fire District, a very safe and enjoyable Christmas!
Please keep in your thoughts, those emergency service workers who won’t be with their families on these holidays, as well as the Brave men and women of our military who are on deployment or stationed away from loved ones. I also ask that you think of those less fortunate than ourselves and keep the spirit of the season by being helpful, giving and understanding!

We are working this fine holiday and the dish for this evening is a combination of traditional Dublin Irish and traditional American Irish.
Dublin Coddle as well as Corned Beef and cabbage. Served along side Irish soda bread. Mmmmmmm! Have a safe evening and if you are going to imbibe...DON’T DRIVE!

A day late! Happy New Year from Group 2

On behalf of the Officers and members of Group 2, Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season to all of our friends and family members. Keep in your thoughts our American troops, so far from home and loved ones, and our emergency service workers including nurses and dispatchers who tirelessly, dedicate their time to helping others while missing precious moments with their families. If you drew the straw to work a tour today, be vigilant and safe.
Also, please remember there are many less fortunate than us.... they are cold and hungry, homeless, poor and sick. Pray for a better outcome for their lives.

Group 2 held their annual Christmas party last night at The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Here are pics of Retired and current members and their lovely wives and girlfriends. Merry Christmas everyone!

Members of Group 2 conducted Oxy/Acetylene torch cutting/use training.

Group 2 members were called to assist City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department at a 2nd alarm fire. Initially dispatched as the FAST team, members were put to work immediately. It was a stubborn fire as it traveled through the cockloft and voids of the mansard roof. The PFD worked their buts off and did a nice job getting it under control. Pictured are Lt.
