As an organization focused on the health and well-being of youth and families, we were grateful to attend this morning’s discussion at Vassar College hosted by Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley on the childcare crisis facing our region.

Thank you to the panelists, Sabrina Jaar Marzouka, commissioner of Dutchess County Government Department of Community and Family Services, Madeline Henriquez, executive director of DAY ONE Early Learning Community, Chris White, vice chancellor for workforce development and upward mobility at State University of New York (SUNY), and moderator Jill Gomez, executive director of Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet for a thoughtful conversation about the challenges families are experiencing, the impact on our community, and the potential solutions needed to support family stability and regional growth.

Our staff have been out in the community throughout Mental Health Awareness Month sharing information about our programs and available mental health resources.

Last night, our team attended Wellness Wednesday at Newburgh YouthBuild, alongside other community partners. The event featured dance and fitness classes, yoga, a creative writing workshop, and more.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about how our Home is supporting youth and families across Orange County.

We are officially celebrating the opening of our new youth crisis residence program, AnchorPoint, and we want you to join us!

On June 4 at 10AM, we will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark this important step forward for our Home and our community in addressing the mental health support needs of youth and families.

This program is designed to stabilize youth experiencing psychiatric crisis and support their safe transition back into the community.
We hope you’ll stop by to enjoy light refreshments, learn more about this vital new resource, and help us mark this milestone together.

Thank you for your incredible support this Hudson Valley Gives Day! 💚🩵

Because of your generosity, and the generosity of our match donor, we raised ✨$17,460✨ to help provide critical resources to youth and families who need it most.

While we didn’t quite reach our $20,000 goal, the need in our community continues every day, and every dollar raised is making a difference for local families.
There is still time to help us close the gap. Gifts to our Hudson Valley Gives page will continue to be accepted through May 31.

Your support helps ensure youth and families have access to the care and resources they deserve.

Don’t miss your chance to make twice the impact. The opportunity to double your support ends at midnight tonight!
