The Poughkeepsie-Arlington Rotary Club had two exciting guests today - Maestro André Raphel, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra, and Kathleen Bosman, violist who plays in the orchestra. They spoke about the
the challenges and opportunities for this community-focused professional orchestra as it moves into the future with its new conductor.
They shared the HVSO's vision: "to heighten our artistry, to support our community and foster our common humanity, through the expansion of outreach initiatives, and to build a financially sustainable foundation for the future."

Hope on a Mission is hosting our annual Christmas on the Corner outreach: a night filled with warmth, food, stockings, and hope for our community. ❤️

We are looking to fill 200 Christmas bags for the individuals we serve. Each bag will include one of every item on our Amazon Wish List and will be handed out at Christmas. The wish list contains all the items that will go into each bag, and every contribution helps! 🎁

Refreshments will be served.

We’re currently gathering supplies and gifts to bless those in need this holiday season. You can help by purchasing items directly from our Amazon Wish List (link in the comments) 👇

The East Fishkill Rotary Club is teaming up with Hope On A Mission:HOAM to serve our neighbors in need — and YOU are invited to help make a difference! 💜

📍 Hope On A Mission — 600 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY
🕠 Arrival: 5:30 PM | Serve: 6:00–7:00 PM
We’ll be preparing and serving warm meals, offering snacks, and distributing essential winter and hygiene items to those who need them most.
🙋‍♀️ Can’t make it in person?
You can still help! Donate a tray of food, snacks, or personal hygiene items — and we’ll arrange to pick them up!
Here’s what’s most needed:
Comfort foods: baked ziti or any type of pasta, chili, rice & beans, sandwiches, mac & cheese etc.-anything warm and comforting
Snacks & drinks: pudding, breakfast bars, juice boxes
Winter items: gloves, hats, coats, blankets
Personal hygiene (travel size): shampoo, toothpaste, feminine products

Helping families grow hope, one microloan at a time. 🇭🇹

At yesterday’s meeting, we were honored to hear from Père Andre Wildaine, on-the-ground point person of the Haiti Project and member of the Gonaïves Rotary Club.

Microloans through the Haiti Project provide women in rural mountain villages with the opportunity to build small businesses, feed their families, and keep their children safe, planting seeds for a stronger, more peaceful community and future.

We’re proud to continue supporting this vital work alongside our global Rotary family.
