Peach Hill Park offers hiking trails leading to the highest point of Poughkeepsie. Crops on this land historically included peaches and pears as well as apples.

The Peach Hill Park and Conservation Area is a 159 acre passive use, open space landscape. Opened in 2006, this magnificent spot is an extensive old orchard ringed by woods on several sides. Deer and wild turkey inhabit the park along with such rare song birds as the Indigo Bunting and Cuckoo. As the highest point in the Town of Poughkeepsie, Peach Hill offers panoramic views of the Hudson Valley

We had such a wonderful group of people take on the challenge of one of the most challenging 5K courses in Dutchess County with the some of the most spectacular views! Winner today was Henry C. At 18 min 33 sec! Great job everyone and thanks for supporting the Friends of Peach Hill. We use all the proceeds to maintain the trails in the park. If you’re out walking the trails at Peach Hill, you may notice something new along the way.
We’ve begun installing updated trail maps throughout the park to make it easier to find your way and explore with confidence. Each map includes numbered locations, so whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, navigating the park should feel a little more intuitive.
This is just the start—throughout the summer we’ll be adding more posts, maps, and signs to continue improving the experience for everyone who enjoys Peach Hill.
All of this work is made possible by the support of our community. If Peach Hill Park is a place you value, we’d be grateful for your support as we continue these improvements:

Thank you for being part of what makes this park so special.

Friends of Peach Hill are so grateful to Michael Skelly for hosting the lovely and remarkably talented Angeline Ma Angeline Ma . The Skelly family opened their home, abound with a gracious spread, and we feasted on wonderful food and Chopin and Brahms played by one of the most talented pianists in our country. Spring is coming to Peach Hill ☘️

We’re not quite there, but the snow is gone and the mud is starting to arrive. The trails are clear, the weather is warming and the birds are starting to sing. It is a good time to come to the park and enjoy the awakening nature.

A few reminders as we come into warmer weather. Dogs are welcome in the park, they must be leashed at all times and owners must remove all waste and carry it out. Please, no littering in the park, carry all trash out to the parking area where there is a trash can. There are no bike or eBikes permitted in the park. Please do not enter the park on a bike or eBike.

Thank you and enjoy the Spring 🌸

Lost ring! This is a message from the hiker:
Good morning, my husband and I took a walk on the Heritage Trail yesterday and unfortunately he lost a ring that he inherited from his late father. It’s not worth a lot of money but it’s a great value to us. I was hoping if you could post this on the FB page if someone finds it to return to us. Maybe when snow melts it will be easier to find it. We would really appreciate it.
The ring looks very similar to this one in a photo. If found please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!
