County Executive Sue Serino and our Dutchess County Office for the Aging invite our neighbors 60+ to another "Mix & Mingle" event on November 5th, and this time the fun is coming to northern Dutchess County.

After such a wonderful turnout at this spring's initial "Mix & Mingle" gathering, we can’t wait to welcome our older adults to Brookmeade Community in Rhinebeck for autumn-inspired mocktails, games, and plenty of chances to make new friends.

Don’t miss out on this special afternoon of fun and friendship! Call 845-486-2555 to register. We can’t wait to see you there!

Community Based Services invited service providers and advocates for people with disabilities, including Dutchess County’s team, to its 2026 Transition and Resource Fair at Wappingers Junior High School this week. County Executive Sue Serino attended the event, which brought together families and organizations to explore resources, connect with a supportive community, and discover opportunities for life after high school. It was great to see so many community partners under one roof, and you can learn more about our successful ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative at: thinkdifferently.net

National Health Education Week (October 18-24) recognizes the power of health education in building healthier communities. Our Public Health Education Coordinators empower residents with the knowledge and skills to protect their health through education on topics such as CPR and Narcan training, tick prevention, cancer prevention, and more.

Through the Mobile Health Unit, they bring these resources directly to communities across Dutchess County. Learn more at dutchessny.gov/MHU.
